END OF THE ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE MAÎTRES RESTAURATEURS AND THE WORLD'S FRENCH RESTAURANT!
After a striking presence at the Salon de l'Agriculture, the Association Française des Maîtres Restaurateurs is proud to have brought the sustainable and responsible foodservice ecosystem together in Nancy for its Annual General Meeting.
This year marks the success of numerous projects undertaken by the AFMR. Thanks to the unfailing commitment of its members, the inclusion of people with disabilities in the catering sector is growing. With the World's French Restaurant, the French catering model is now being promoted internationally in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Under the aegis of the HESIODE endowment fund, Maîtres Restaurateurs are promoting "zero waste" best practices, and will soon be launching a trans-generational competition.
The program for this year's event, which took place in Nancy's Place Stanislas with the support of the Metropole du Grand Nancy, included round-table discussions bringing together experts and committed restaurateurs, and of course the conviviality of typical Lorraine meals.
To better welcome Maîtres Restaurateurs and promote a virtuous catering model, the AFMR set up its regional delegations at the Annual General Meeting. This is an important step in the life of the association, which is moving ever closer to the terroirs, producers and restaurateurs tempted by the adventure of the state title. The Direction Générale des Entreprises, present in Nancy, confirms its support for the AFMR.
Alain Fontaine declares: "With all its partners, AFMR is well placed to meet the challenges of the future. The transmission of know-how and the renewal of Maîtres Restaurateurs, the challenges of "fait maison", the promotion of terroirs and the fair remuneration of farmers and breeders, and the proper use of AI for the benefit of the "traditional" catering model are all on the agenda for 2025.
The next AFMR General Meeting has been announced for Paris on March 15, 16 and 17, 2026. Bordeaux will host the 20th anniversary of the title in 2027, and Toulouse in 2028.
